hillington, PA native Erich Cawalla makes a very busy living as a full-time musician. He has been professionally entertaining audiences for over nine years and is proficient on lead vocals, saxophone, flute, and clarinet. During his sophomore year of college, Cawalla's professional performing career began when he was asked by Bobby Mercer to join his nationally-known show band. While learning the art of music and entertaining with Mercer, Cawalla began to freelance with other bands, started his solo career, and eventually became the lead singer of the popular Burning House Band for over 3 years.
Erich has performed in the bands of Marie Osmond, Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners, and Tony Malandro and the South Philly Gigolos, and has worked opposite Martha and the Vandellas, Sonny Turner and the Platters, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Mark Wills, and Comedy Central's Jeff Dunham and Joe Devito. He has also been a featured soloist with the Reading POPS Orchestra on two occasions and the Shippensburg Festival Chamber Orchestra. Some of his more notable performances include performing at Florida State University for the Florida Republican Inauguration Gala, Charlotte's Independence Arena, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, numerous Atlantic City showrooms and lounges, the PA Capitol's Centennial Celebration, and Carnegie Hall as a senior in high school.
