ike Schwartz is one of a rare breed of guitar players that can play both solid lead and rhythm guitar. With the ability to play anything from Jazz to Funk, and Country to Rock, and not to mention a really nice guy, Mike is an asset to any organization.
He started playing guitar at the age of 10, and was in his first band at 11. During this time, he became heavily influenced by the sounds of Carlos Santana, Rick Derringer, and Three Dog Night. Over the years, Mike has played with many bands including Flamin' Dick and the Hotrods, Fourplay, Impact, Lynx, Pat Garrett, and most recently, with Burning House for over 15 years. Mike has also had the pleasure of opening up for or sharing the stage with Chicago, Huey Lewis and the News, The Drifters, Lonestar, Sara Evans, Sons of the Desert, Crash Test Dummies, Dan Seals, and Eric Heatherly.
The Uptown Band featuring Erich Cawalla and Jenifer Kinder greatly interests Mike because of the huge variety of music that the band plays, as well as the many different venues they are able to perform at. He is one of the "Hardest Working Guitar Players in Show Business!" |
