ike Humbert *AKA Killer* was born into a very musical family. At age 4, he was playing on the floor along to music with drumsticks laying around the house. By the time Mike was 7, he would accompany his mother to shows and she would hand him a tambourine to play or some other percussion instrument. The rest is history. As a mostly self-taught drummer, Mike has played in almost every musical situation possible including all types of live shows and recording sessions for original music, cover music, and jingles.

In 2004, Mike met Miljenko Matijevic, an incredible vocalist who had a hit record called "I'll Never Let You Go" in 1991 as the lead singer of the band Steelheart. Mike and Matijevic quickly hit it off and shortly thereafter, Mike was asked to join Steelheart on a permanent basis. While touring with Steelheart, Mike performed both nationally and internationally at some of the world's most prestigious music festivals, sharing the stage with rock heavyweights Queensryche, Twisted Sister, UFO, and Ace Frehley.

Mike is the newest member of The Uptown Band and couldn't be happier. When not performing with the band, he also continues to perform with Steelheart and freelances with other groups. He also teaches drum lessons out of his home in Leesport, PA and does recording sessions as much as possible.
